The Haven: Weekly Sabbath Celebration and Community Gathering
$0.00

Let’s gather together to worship, get in the word, break bread, and fellowship in Yeshua!

God established the times and seasons, His moyhedim, for us to know Him. While His weekly Sabbath is not a yearly festival, Leviticus 23 actually lists it as the very first Moed - the ultimate weekly divine appointment.), that point to His redemptive plan for man kind and the earth’s salvation, so that all who enter into His rest and are found in Him, may be spared from perdition.

"Moyhedim" is an English phonetic spelling of the Hebrew word Moedim (מוֹעֲדִים), which translates to "Appointed Times," "Set Feasts," or "Festivals."

The singular form of the word is Moed (מוֹעֵד). In the Bible, these are not just human holidays, but specific, divine appointments on the Hebrew calendar that God established to meet with His people.

The foundational blueprint for all the Moedim is found in Leviticus 23:2, where God says:

"The feasts [Moedim] of the Lord, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, these are My feasts."

The Two Cycles of the Moedim

The Moedim are deeply tied to the agricultural harvest seasons of Israel and are divided into two main groups:

1. The Spring Moedim (The First Harvest)

These have historically and prophetically been linked to redemption and the first coming of the Messiah:

  • Passover (Pesach): Remembering deliverance from Egypt.

  • Unleavened Bread (Chag HaMatzot): A seven-day period of eating bread without yeast.

  • Firstfruits (Yom HaBikkurim): The wave offering of the initial barley harvest.

  • Weeks / Pentecost (Shavuot): Commemorating the giving of the Torah and the summer wheat harvest, occurring 50 days after Firstfruits.

2. The Fall Moedim (The Final Harvest)

These take place in the seventh Hebrew month (Tishrei) and are traditionally associated with judgment, repentance, and the future Messianic age:

  • Trumpets (Yom Teruah / Rosh Hashanah): The blowing of the shofar to wake up the soul.

  • Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur): The holiest day of the year, focusing on cleansing and repentance.

  • Tabernacles (Sukkot): A joyous eight-day celebration dwelling in temporary booths to remember God's provision.

Fall Feasts of YHVH
Feast of Trumpets 2026
$0.00

Make a joyful noise, with my family, ushering the 7th month of the Hebrew calendar this year!

Every year my family celebrates the feasts of YHVH, not adhering to any particular traditions of man, Jewish or Christian alike, looking for the spiritual significance found in Jesus, or Yeshua, as Father God calls His Son, in Hebrew.

YHVH (the Name of God without pronunciation of vowels) + Oshua (the Hebrew word/name for Deliverer) = Yeshua!

God alone saves and delivers us! He showed us the type and model for how He saves us, in the wilderness of testing, in His Torah, and then became the fulfilment of the law, in Himself, Yeshua.

Come lift up His voice and worship Him with with a joyful song, dance, and expression of the arts!

Day of Atonement 2026
$0.00

Yom Kippur - Day of Atonement - Remembering Who gives us atonement - and why. The 10 days that lead up to this holy day, from the blast of the Trumpet at the sighting of the new moon of Israel, in this seventh month, are for the purpose of having us reflect on our sin and need for God’s holy righteousness inputted onto us by the sacrifice He provides.

Just like He put Abraham to sleep and provided a sacrifice for the covenant that He would make with Abra-ham, He has done the same for the Bride, dead in her own sin and death, a sleeping bride, so to speak. He created sacrificial laws to substitute the ultimate sacrificial Yeshua (YHVH + Oshua) would make: laying down His lives for his friends.

There is no other life more worth living - or well lived. Even a man, even a pure and spotless one, who lived Torah to the T, because it was written on his heart, who only lives 30 something years of his life on this earth is worth it. The most well worth and lived out life was a short one, but a blessed one, for all mankind.

Sound a trumpet in Zion, for the KING of Kings is coming, even if I think He should tarry, He is coming and fufilling a work in His earth. 📯

Feast of Tabernacles 2026
$0.00

The season of Our Joy, Where the Bride enters into the Marriage Feast of the Lamb. The sin has been carried away on the shoulders of the scapegoat, into the wilderness, and the Pure Spotless Lamb that remains calls us to eat and drink of Him. This 7 day feasts speaks of the completion of God’s 7000 year plan, where the way of man comes to the end of himself and enters into YHVH, Yeshua’s, way.

Summer Feast of YHVH
Pentecost/Shavout 2027
$0.00

Shavuot is commemorates the day God gave the Torah to the Israelites in the desert of Mount Sinai. It is also the day that the Holy Spirit descended, as tongues of fire, on all nations, who were gathered as spiritual Israel, signifying how real obedience to the ways of God are only made possible by His Spirit alive and at work in every believers life.

Meaning and Timing

  • Name: Shavuot means "weeks" in Hebrew.

  • Calculation: It happens exactly 50 days (seven weeks plus one day) after the second day of Passover, following the 49-day Counting of the Omer.

  • Duration: It lasts for one day in Israel and two days in the Diaspora.

Origins and Significance

  • Spiritual Event: It marks the revelation at Mount Sinai, when the Israelites received the Ten Commandments and the foundational laws of God.

  • Agricultural Roots: In ancient times, it was also the "Festival of Reaping" and the "Day of the First Fruits," celebrating the end of the grain harvest in Israel.

Stay tuned to how we will be celebrating this year!

Spring Feasts of YHVH
Passover & Feast of Unleavened Bread 2027
$0.00

Feast of unleavened bread - pure doctrine - no man made doctrines, traditions

According to the moon, Passover starts, on Aviv 14. The Feast of Unleavened Bread is celebrated for a week following, ending with the Feast of Fruitsfruits.

The mentions of these feasts are in Exodus 12 -13 (back story 7- 11), Leviticus 23:5-14, Numbers 28:16-25, Deuteronomy 16:1-8, Joshua 5:10-11, 2 Chronicles 30 (see also Numbers 9:2-14), 2 Chronicles 35, 2 Kings 23:21-23, Ezra 6:19-22, Ezekiel 45:21-24, Matthew 26, Mark 14, Luke 22, John 2, 6, 11, 13, 18-19, and 1 Corinthians 5:7-8

Over the years, our family has intentionally honored the feasts of the Lord, and every year we learn to wrestle through the challenge of holding to the traditions of God without adding in our own, for the sake of feeling good about our efforts in celebrating. Some years it has been simple scripture reading and discussion as a family, finding the provision of Jesus in that years feast, other years we have been blessed to meet and participate with other believers. With that said, aside from diving into scripture and meditating on what the Holy Spirit is speaking of Christ in each celebration and the times that lead up, we have gleaned from a few resources.

The most helpful one for our family has been, “A Family Guide To The Biblical Holidays - With Activities For All Ages,” by Robin Sampson & Linda Pierce. It includes about 150 pages specifically towards the “spring feasts,” and includes an overview, history of, Messianic significance for, suggestions for celebrating, crafts and activities for each feast. I highly suggest this book for any families wanting to learn more together.

Also, our friend Gus, who leads and organizes our home fellowship, is willing to share the Haggadah he has compiled over the years with us to help with organizing the flow of partaking of the meal - and seeing Christ in this beautiful feast! Here is the website to the fellowship he has aligned with over the years, to give yourself an idea of his/their heart in the matter of following the feasts: https://communityoncolumbia.org/?page_id=81

Counting of the Omer 2027
$0.00

a 49 day count … a jounral entry:

Counting of the Omer.

It is April 29th, 2026, of day 20 of the countin gof the omer, but the splendor of today is that it is day 12 of the month of Ziv, meaning “blossom,” “grow,” “radiance,” in the Hebrew calendar and it exposes so much of what is growing in my heart. Isn’t this what we count for 49 days - what is growing, wheat and tares, until harvest? Until Pentecost?

After several days of being out and social, my inward heart has been calling out to me for connection.

I have been present with friends, kids, James - and even though that is all well and good, it feels like it is just skimming the surface of what my heart longs for - connection.

What sort of connection. Connection to my body, mind, and spirit - where one doesn’t have to give way to the other, but where they live in synergy to the Word of God, in the life He has given to me.

But holding space and being with people can sometimes feel abrasive to my conscious - the integrity of who I am, in my whole nature - because of the space they can hold, their emotions, thoughts, and strongholds that can not hold the things I know to be true.

I long to bridge the gap between the two worlds - my inner need to connect and the outer one, but I find myself waiting in the pain of the balance sometimes, in a liminal space.

I don’t know how to surrender to God in this place when the assumptions of those I am around is that my good pleasure means approval towards their fixations, my smile - their pride, my peace seen as complicity.

Here, my body holds tension, as if in some sort of fight or flight - need to find - space, for release, and my soul wrestles, vacillating from anger, pride, and apathy.

I am angry that they can speak freely and not receive the word of rebuke I would if I did, pride that I am the only one who "gets it" - and the isolation I feel must mean that I am superior in some way bc of the knowledge I hold that holds depths to the puddles we all swim in, apathy for the futility of this same cycle of existence I experience time and again in this world without a give or care from God to fix this for me.

I like boats too, skiing, lake and beach houses, surfing, extreme sports, exercise recovery, but I hate Zionism - the system of theocracy, that seems to bubble up from the pride of our lives, that facilitate the traditions of man - in all their varied forms. Rwinforced by social constructs..

Facebook.

"I am proud of you."

"I like your content."

Here, reminiscence helps me to know who and whose I am, and remember that the only leaven I need is Yeshua Messiah, because the leaven of pride of life, lust of the eyes, and the lust of the flesh stinks and leaves everyone wanting.

The Pharisees think they be gettin it right, but their pride of life kills off the joy of knowing they are God’s, no matter what. Herod can’t say no to the lust of his eyes, thinking it is not enough, not realizing he has so much already. The Sad-u-sees are crying in their puddles bc their pride to not give into the lust of their flesh, can’t give them the happiness they long in the lives they are not living. All of these tares choke out life and peace.

The leaven of anger of God’s chastisement, using even fallen man for our rebuke, feeds that sort of broken lifestyle of pride. Here, I remember that the apathy I justify as proof against His Passover and First first Harvest of Aviv just becomes God’s grace in my life, “thank God for His resurrection power that is offered up for me to live a better life, in Him,” and I am content here, because I can never get enough of that - His grace flows from the hands in His scars and teaches me how to walk in forgiveness, so yes even 70 x 7 is profitable for all.

Boundaries of my inner and outer world help me to discern my leaven, not meaning to separate itself out from each other, and restores me back to submission, that cool of the garden with my Lord, the most Precious, Darling of Heaven, and take note, as things take root, what happens when bread rises in the oven, so that my counting doesn't reflect that of my offenses, but rather the days of His grace.

I am not sure if it is day 27, day 25, day 21, or if the accuracy of which day versus the instruction “to count” and measure the omer - the sheaf - representing the seed that was planted for harvest, that is growing!
